Curricular offerings
Courses offered by the program (Corsi interni) will be limited in size and taught by Italian faculty members (see E.C.CO. Faculty and Courses). In addition to these courses, students with adequate Italian (demonstrated by the exam following the Intensive language course in September or in January) will have access to a range of courses in the humanities, sciences and social sciences at the Università di Bologna. A mandatory writing workshop is designed to support students’ writing in the program courses as well as in courses taken at the Unibo.

Credits
Each semester students can expect to receive:
0.5 credit  for the Intensive Italian language course;
0.5 credit for the Writing workshop
1 credit for each E.C.CO. course
1 or 2 credits for each Unibo course. (The amount of credit awarded depends on its designation by Unibo).

Fall students attending the Lecce summer session will receive and additional 0.5 credit.

Final exams
Exams vary from course to course and are clarified by individual faculty members.
Usually for E.C.CO. Corsi interni students are expected to take a written midterm exam and a final oral exam.  To successfully enroll in a Unibo course students will have to schedule with their professor an early final exam before their departure from Bologna.
Unibo offer a variety of courses with a variety of credits. Please check the credit on the web site before enrollment.

Grading practice
Corsi interni and Unibo courses are taken for a quality grade.
Attendance at class sessions is mandatory and will figure as a percentage in the grade.
